Subject: SCODE
Since there is no news about atari.st.sources, here it is here.
This is a program that installs itself in RAM (run it from the auto folder,
or anyway before you enter any "shell"!). Later when you press Alt-Help,
instead of the usual printout you get the screen saved in a file. The format
of the file is both compressed and printable: about 30-70% compressed,
depends on the image, and coded in a way that uses "safe" characters only
(i.e. no square brackets and such) - suitable for e-mail.
Following postings will include the companion decoding program, and the
source for a program that decodes and translates into Postscript.
(I send the coded images over the modem to a VAX, and there print it on a
Laserwriter.) The source for the first two programs will be mailed/posted
by request.
